Footage to relink
The project remembers where each file was on the computer that saved it. Paste the folder that holds this .aep on your computer and the project is rebuilt pointing at your files, so EffectCraft loads them when it opens. Mac: hold Option, right-click the folder, Copy as Pathname. Windows: Shift + right-click, Copy as path.

Drop the project
Your .aep or .aepx, saved by After Effects 2018 or later. Footage stays on your computer: only the project file is sent.
- 2
Read the report
Every layer shows how it converted. Anything EffectCraft can't do yet is listed by name, so nothing goes missing quietly.
- 3
Open and relink
Open the .ecproj in EffectCraft. Footage still in the same place reconnects by itself; for the rest, use File ▸ Dependencies ▸ Relink Missing Footage on the folder that holds it.
